The Forest Woods is being developed by the trio of some of the most renowned builders in Singapore. City Developments Limited (CDL), TID Pte Ltd. and Hong Leong Holdings Limited came together to jointly develop this project. The winning bid for the project was SGD 321 million and CDL is the primary developer for the project. This is the country’s largest real estate company with more than 36,000 luxury homes to its credit. The company has offices spread across 26 different countries in 90 locations. It is well-versed with all kinds of construction projects, whether it is a residential project, service apartment, hotel, office, commercial complex, shopping mall, or an integrated development project.

For the past five decaces, the Singapore-based company has grown by leaps and bounds. It all started in 1963, when the company started with just 8 employees to begin with. In the very first year of its existence, the company completed The Fresh Breezes, its first residential project. By 1965, it was building high rises. City Development Limited grew at a constant pace and within a few years of its inception, it was listed on the Malayan Stock Exchange. It began to register a stupendous growth rate, and shared its success with its stockholders with maiden dividends going out in the 1970s. The same decade, the company Hong Leong Group acquired a majority stake in CDL. In the eighties, the company took its next big step, this time entering the hospitality sector with the acquisition of The Copthorne King’s Hotel. Continuing the success streak, the company then went international in the 90s. Today, with over $2.6 billion worth of assets under management, this is a solid player in the industry not only in Singapore’s domestic market, but in the international arena as well. In fact, the developer has recently finished the Bartley Residences in the neighborhood for which the registrations will soon close, because almost all units have been sold out.

A joint venture between the Hong Leong Group and the Japan’s Mitsui Fudosan, TDI Pte Ltd. is a well-known developer in Singapore with over 35 years of experience in the industry. It has many popular real estate projects to its credit, including The Oceanfront@Sentosa, and St. Regis Singapore Hotel & Residences, among many others.

Hong Leong Holdings Limited (HLHL) is also privately held by the Hong Leong Group and has interests in property investment and development since 1968. HLHL has been responsible for the management of 12 commercial projects and development of more than 50 residential projects.
